Neighbor blocks his supposed friend of 10 years for absurd reasons like keeping him posted about his house when he was on vacation: ‘He bottled up over the years without talking to me about.’

I was good friends with my neighbour for 10 years. A few months ago, he blocked me from all messages services. I talked to him yesterday about it, and he said I was a bad neighbour. I'll try to give the reason why he says I was a bad neighbour without being biased to myself. These are all things he bottled up over the years without

my lawn and didn't want to blow clippings all over his guest car or worst sh ot rocks at it. Turns out it was out of line to ask his family members to move their car while they were still in their PJ (I donno how I was supposed to know they were in their PJ) 3. we talked for many years about redoing our shared

    - - fence. The plan was always the same. we hire someone to set the post we build the rest on the following weekend. This would keep the project as economical and easy as possible, considering we both know how to build fences.

Year and a half ago, out of the blue, he dropped off a quote from a local fence company that was 2x more than what we would build it for. He told me he was going on vacation to Mexico for 2 weeks and needed the fence done right away for his dog. So because this was not what we had discussed for years, I declined.

    4) says I'm too nosey. He goes on vacation a lot and spends all summer at his trailer, so I try to keep him informed about what's going on. Example: he was away, and we had a bad storm, and one of his trees got blown hard, a branch landed on his new truck, and the tree was now leaning towards his house. Told me I was being too nosey when I tell him that stuff.

PeaPuzzleheaded8123 NTA. If someone bottles up eight years of minor annoyances, they're setting the friendship up to fail.

DJ_NY_Supreme NTA. You're not the bad neighbor, he is. The first reason is ridiculous. Why should you buy him a brand new space heater just because the one he was holding onto for decades in his garage didn't work. It would be a different story if you broke it but it

simply didn't work from the start. The second reason: Sooo I'm guessing your neighbor was ok with his guests having grass all over their cars or even worse, losing a window? The third reason: so because you refused to pay for a fencing company that charges 2x more the pay to do the work than what was originally planned? If he wanted to do that

SakiLace NTA, but I can't help but feel like your neighbor's been holding a grudge longer than the time it takes to watch all of his family in their PJs!

radiant kiwi208 NTA but your neighbor was never a close friend if he couldn't communicate any of this to you at the time that it was in issue.

Rockpoolcreater Are you younger than your neighbour? I have a feeling he thought you were a pushover that he'd be able to buy and control. He's now ped off that he can't get one over on you. There's probably some big cost coming up that he would have tried to make you pay for. But he knows he can't. So he threw a hissy fit and blocked you so

he can't message you to ask for it. Or the fact you still treat him with kindness really. can't stand it. him off and he By the way he knew that heater didn't work. He leant it to you knowing it wouldn't work hoping you'd think you broke it and would buy him a new one so he didn't have to buy one himself. He's a cheapskate a hole.

artful_todger_502 Having a neighbor watch your house is a priceless perk. Some people are just wack. We have a house for sale on our street of you might want to move here

Kittiewise NTA. Honestly, with all of the examples that you gave your neighbor sounds like they've been unreasonable for many years. You just may not have seen or realized it since the incidents were so spread out. I have an aunt like this (who I deal with as little as possible), so I know that these kinds of people can never be pleased.

Take them blocking your as a serious blessing and start planning to move. A petty person like that may work to quietly undermine you in ways that you can only imagine. Maybe even try to turn other neighbors against you.
